Tribute to Mark Gerek
August 3, 1956 - August 11, 2001

Mark Gerek (pictured with News Director Monica Miller) was 93KHJ's first Station Manager and Morning Show Host. A native of Portland, Oregon, Mark moved to Pago Pago in 2001 and moved to spend his free time fishing and scuba diving in the warm waters of the South Pacific.  Sadly, Mark died in a scuba diving accident on August 11, 2001.  He is greatly missed by all who knew him.
